The book is about a project called the Square Kilometre Array which will become the most powerful and most sensitive radio telescope in the world. The book being set in South Africa will shine a light on the histories of the first telescopes built in South Africa in the 1960’s .The book also sheds light on ancient bushman stories based on actual original manuscripts and Xhosa cosmic lore.
On the cosmological front the book explains how the telescope will advance this field. The telescope will help answer questions about the nature and origin of the universe the formation of galaxies and the evolution of the universe through time. The telescope will help us to understand the nature of forces such as gravity and will be able to detect the presence of life on distant planets or any intelligent radio communications coming from advance civilizations.
